How to use it

Flash cards with 60 common English words for early readers. Edit the list to match what your child is learning.

  1. Pick a ready-made set or type your own cards. Put the front on the left of a vertical bar and the back on the right, for example: hello | bonjour.
  2. Choose how many cards go on a page. Large cards are easier for small hands, small cards save paper.
  3. For two-sided cards, keep the backs on and print double-sided, flipping on the long edge. The backs are mirrored so that each one lands behind its front.
  4. Press Print now, or Save as PDF and choose Save as PDF in the print window. Then cut along the dashed lines.

Questions

How do I make double-sided flash cards?

Keep the backs turned on, then print double-sided with the pages flipping on the long edge. The back pages are mirrored so each answer sits behind its question. Print page 1 and 2 on one sheet to test before printing a stack.

Can I use another language?

Yes. Type any text. Your browser and printer use your device's own fonts, so most languages work.

How many cards can I make?

Up to 300 cards in one go. Longer text is shown in a smaller size automatically.

Is it free to print?

Yes. It is free for personal, classroom and home use. You do not need an account.

How do I save it as a PDF?

Press Save as PDF. After a short wait your browser's print window opens. Choose Save as PDF as the destination instead of a printer.

Does my text leave my device?

No. Everything is made in your browser. Nothing is uploaded or stored.
