How to use it

Make graph paper, dot grid paper or isometric paper in the spacing you need, and print it or save a PDF. Free, no sign-up.

  1. Choose the paper type: square graph paper, a dot grid or isometric paper with 30 degree lines.
  2. Pick the spacing, in fractions of an inch or in millimeters, and the line weight. Light gray lines are easiest on the eyes.
  3. For square paper you can add a bold line every 4, 5 or 10 squares to make counting easier.
  4. Press Print now, or Save as PDF and choose Save as PDF in the print window.

Which spacing should I choose?

Quarter inch and 5 mm are the most common for math and notes. Half inch and 1 cm are good for young children. Eighth inch and 2 mm suit fine technical drawing.

What is isometric paper for?

Isometric paper has lines at 30 degrees from the horizontal, used to draw 3D shapes such as boxes and buildings.
