How to solve a sudoku

Fill every row, every column and every box with each number exactly once. Start with the numbers that are already in a row, column and box, and look for a square that can only hold one number. Write small notes of the possible numbers when you get stuck.

Questions

Is it free to print?

Yes. It is free for personal, classroom and home use. You do not need an account.

Does every puzzle have exactly one solution?

Yes. Each puzzle is checked by a solver while it is made, so there is one answer and no guessing is needed beyond logic.

How is the difficulty decided?

By the number of given numbers. Easy puzzles give about 40 of the 81 squares, medium about 32 and hard about 27. Puzzles with fewer givens tend to need more steps.

How do I save it as a PDF?

Press Save as PDF. After a short wait your browser's print window opens. Choose Save as PDF as the destination instead of a printer.

Where are the answers?

On separate pages at the end, so you can pull them off. You can switch them off if you do not need them.

Do my choices leave my device?

No. The puzzles are made in your browser. Nothing is uploaded or stored.
