How to use it
An easy word search for children, where words go only across and down. Use the school words or type spelling words for the week.
- Pick a ready-made word list or type your own, one word per line.
- Choose the grid size and difficulty. Easy hides words across and down only, medium adds diagonals, and hard hides words in all eight directions, including backwards.
- Press New puzzle for a different arrangement of the same words.
- Press Print now, or Save as PDF and choose Save as PDF in the print window.
Questions
Can I use my own words?
Yes. Type up to 30 words, one per line. Spaces and punctuation are removed, so a phrase like ice cream becomes ICECREAM in the grid.
What if a word does not fit?
The sheet tells you which words could not be placed. Pick a bigger grid, or use fewer or shorter words.
Are the answers included?
Yes. Turn on Add answer pages and every puzzle gets its own answer page with the words highlighted.
Is it free to print?
Yes. It is free for personal, classroom and home use. You do not need an account.
How do I save it as a PDF?
Press Save as PDF. After a short wait your browser's print window opens. Choose Save as PDF as the destination instead of a printer.
Does my text leave my device?
No. Everything is made in your browser. Nothing is uploaded or stored.
